Father O'Quinn Retires

As of June 1, 2015 Father Maurice O’Quinn will officially retire from full-time pastoral ministry.  Ordained on May 2, 1971, for 44 years “Father Moe” has been an involved and dynamic member of the clergy of this diocese.  Most recently serving as Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Curling, Father O’Quinn has also served as Pastor of St. Stephen’s Parish in Stephenville, Holy Family Parish in Port au Choix, as Rector of the Cathedral in Corner Brook and in many other parishes of the diocese.  In a recent memo to the Priests and Directors of Parish Life regarding Father Moe’s  retirement, Bishop Hundt wrote that he was grateful to Father O’Quinn for his generous ministry and he asked that they join him in praying for God’s blessings upon Father O’Quinn during this time of transition and always.
