Sympathy Extended

Born in Brant Township on February 7, 1929 to the late Michael and Loretta (nee Kroetsch) Hundt. Gerard enjoyed farming and had done so on the South Line until retiring to Hanover. He was actively involved with church and a dedicated Knight earning the title of 3rd Degree for the Knights of Columbus.

Survived by wife Joan (nee Graf) Hundt, sons Most Rev. Peter Hundt  Bishop of Corner Brook and Labrador, Francis (Janice) Hundt, David (Margot) Hundt both of R.R. 2 Walkerton, daughters Susan (Harry) White of Markdale, Virginia (Philip) Kuntz and Anne (Darrell) Rehkopf both of R.R. 1 Hanover, grandchildren Evelyn, Julie, Marijean, Andrew, Denise, Michael, Ryan, Krista, Colleen, Daniel, Katie, Kevin, Yvonne and Keith and 16 great grandchildren.  Also survived by his sisters Louise Hundt of Guelph and Mary Anne Hundt of Guelph.  Predeceased by his parents Michael and Loretta (nee Kroetsch) Hundt.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Sunday from 2-3:30 and 7-9 pm with Vigil Rites at 3:30 pm and Monday at Holy Family Church from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.  Bishop Peter Hundt officiating.  Interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Carlsruhe.
