Thank You and Farewell

Announcement for Our Lady of Labrador Parish the weekend of October 8th – 9th, 2016

Dear Parishioners of Our Lady of Labrador Parish,

Earlier this year Father Tony Soosai spoke to me about his desire to take a break from his present ministry in this diocese and to return to his homeland of India. He generously agreed to continue in his ministry here until I could make arrangements for his replacement.

As Father Tony’s Canadian Visa will expire on November 11th of this year, we have agreed that he will conclude his ministry as Administrator of your parish on Sunday November 6th and will make arrangements to fly back to India later that week.

I am very grateful to Father Tony for the ministry he has provided in this diocese these past two years and I pray that God will give him safe travel back to India and will give him much joy and peace in his ministry there.

In the near future I hope to appoint a new priest as Administrator of your parish. However, until that time I have asked Father James Yacob to provide interim ministry.

Thanking you for your patience and understanding in dealing with these changes and asking that you join with me in praying for God’s blessings upon Father Tony, Father James and all the priests serving in our diocese, I remain,

Sincerely yours in Christ,

+Peter Hundt, Bishop of Corner Brook and Labrador
