The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) will hold its annual Plenary Assembly at the Nav Canada Centre, Cornwall, Ontario, in the Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall from September 25-29, 2017. The meeting will be chaired by the Most Reverend Douglas Crosby, O. M. I., Bishop of Hamilton and President of the CCCB, who will finish his term as President at the end of this Plenary. Please pray for Bishop Hundt and his brother Bishops as they embark on these important meetings.

The Bishops will review pastoral initiatives and receive annual reports from many of the Conference’s various commissions. The agenda will also include presentations and/or discussions on topics such as the pastoral orientations for interreligious dialogue with Islam, the elements and nature of pastoral accompaniment, the situation in the Middle East from the perspective of persecuted Christians, human trafficking, and a reflection on Amoris Laetitia – the Post-Synodal Exhortation of Pope Francis on love in the family, among others.

Salt + Light TV will broadcast live online and on television the annual report by the President of the CCCB, the daily liturgical celebrations of the Plenary Assembly and the daily media briefings. A broadcast schedule is available on the CCCB website.
