Categories: General Date: Dec 11, 2018 Title: Retirement
Today, December 11, 2018, after 28 years with the Diocese, Patricia Jones retires from her position as Secretary of the Diocesan Marriage Tribunal and as Secretary of the Diocesan Chancellor’s Office.
We are grateful to Pat for the dedicated and generous service she has provided for these many years and we are sorry to be losing the benefit of her kind and experienced ministry.
We wish her well as she begins to spend more time with her husband, Wayne, and avails of the opportunity of time to travel and visit her sons and her grandchildren.
Please join with us in praying that she will enjoy a long, happy and healthy retirement.
Pat first came to work with the Diocese in February, 1990, in the position of Notary for the Marriage Tribunal under the supervision of Chancellor, Msgr. William Boone. She worked on marriage annulments and dispensations. At that time, her office was located in space owned by the RC Humber-St. Barbe School Board.
She would make two more moves. In 1999, the Bishop of the day gathered all staff under one roof in the former monastery of the Irish Christian Brothers, and in 2006 to the present site of the Diocesan Offices at 469 Curling Street.
Along the way her role changed a little and she became Secretary of the Diocesan Marriage Tribunal and Secretary of the Diocesan Chancellor's Office.
